In an effort to improve the number of competitive proposal submissions by Louisiana researchers, the Board of Regents (Regents) NSF EPSCoR program awards funds for regionally organized grant writing workshops. Under this particular program, emphasis is placed on activities which afford faculty an opportunity to enhance their grant writing skills and thereby increase their chances of securing funding for their research programs.

Faculty development activities in general, and grant writing workshops in particular, are strategies which the Board supports under its EPSCoR program. Under this particular program emphasis is placed on activities which afford faculty an opportunity to enhance their grant writing skills, and thereby increase their chances of securing funding for their research programs. The program is also designed to foster regional collaborations and partnerships; statewide participation is strongly encouraged.
