Research Areas:
The Laboratory provides analytical chemical analyses to support research in the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center. In addition to providing support for agricultural research and extension work, the laboratory analyzes samples for non-university persons for a fee. The laboratory also provides analytical support for environmental monitoring projects.

The Laboratory is the state regulatory laboratory. It analyzes samples for the State Department of Agriculture and Forestry, and results are used to determine if agricultural chemicals and certain agricultural products are in compliance with state and federal laws.
