Research Areas:
The LWRRI mission is focused on nonpoint pollution and mitigation of those pollutant sources. Current projects include studies on fertilizer application, industrial wastewater treatment, and effects if run off on senitino biomarkers.
Areas of Expertise:
The Institute uses the expertise of engineers and scientists at all of Louisiana's institutions of higher education to research problems with Louisiana water quality and use.
Special Capabilities and Facilities:
The Institute provides for multi-university and multi-discipline studies to be conducted in an important water quality area for Louisiana and the Southeastern region.
