Research Areas:
The mission is to identify and work with faculty to secure external funding for university and community projects, including economic development projects. The primary emphasis is federal discretionary grant programs and the secondary emphasis is state discretionary grant programs, foundation, and corporate funding. Ongoing projects include neighborhood-based economic revitalization/crime prevention programs, Ark-La-Tex International Education and Development Consortium, resources enhancement for Japan Studies Program, various cooperative projects between LSU-S and local governments, business community, community organizations, etc.

More than 20 years of experience in economic devlopment-related research (industrial location, international trade development, foreign investment, community marketing, etc.)
