Research Areas:

The Louisiana Center for Manufacturing Sciences is a not-for-profit, independent, 501(c)(3) research institute with members including General Motors Power Train, Raytheon Consulting Group, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, ExtrudeHone, Aerojet, and the Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana. This consortium brings a wide spectrum of industrial experience to programs supported by the Louisiana Center. The Louisiana Center is headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana. The mission of the Louisiana Center is (1) to encourage collaboration between manufacturing, research and educational institutions involved in manufacturing sciences, (2) to develop, demonstrate and implement technological innovations to improve manufacturing processes, (3) to obtain and commercialize intellectual property rights consistent with the interests of it Active Members and Affiliate Members and in accordance with its status as a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, (4) to acquire and manage development programs consistent with the expertise resident in its Members, (5) to conduct the activities of the corporation, including research, development, manufacturing and training.
