Research Areas:
This mission of the Institute is to contribute to regional economic development; assist the Family Business Community; train and inspire aspiring entrepreneurs; and coordinate joint academic, government, and business initiatives. The Institute is organized into four divisions: family business center, community service program, economic development center, and entrepreneurial studies and research. Ongoing projects include Inner City Economic Development Group for the Tulane/Xavier Campus Affiliates Program; establishing academies of entrepreneurship in New Orleans public high schools.

Special Capabilities and Facilities:
Family Business Center brings prominent speakers to New Orleans to discuss family business issues. 15-20 Entrepreneurs-in-Residence teach MBA's using original cases based on their experiences. Case Series numbers 24 to date. 40-60 MBA volunteers perform 25 hours each of service in consulting assignments with area organizations.
