Research Areas:
The Murphy Institute supports an interdisplinaray undergraduate program in political economy which brings together economists, political scientists, historians, and philosophers commited to moving beyond traditional boundaries of their disicipline as a common search for new ways of studying the interrelations of politics and economics.
To enrich teaching and research in political economy, the Murphy Institute hosts conferences, seminars, and lectures by prominent scholars and public figures. It also sponsors (with Cambridge UP) "Murphy Institute Studies in Political Economy," a series of occasional volumes comprising oringinal essays presented of scholarly conferences sponsored by the Institute.
