CASTS' GIS facilities, a collection of computer hardware, software, and databases, allow the users to collect, manage, and analyze large volumes of spatially referenced data and their associated attributes. As a decision support system, users can integrate graphic entities with numeric data within a specialized database management system having spatial modelling and cartographic features. While the system is used as an analytical tool its capability to handle spatial and temporal databases allows it to be valuable source of information in a research and development environments.
